Free service for you from MLJ Hardin County District Library
The MLJ Hardin County District Library has two notaries on staff M-F 9-5 to help serve your notarial needs. Our service is free to all, not just library patrons. We do accept walk-ins if time permits. We prefer you call and arrange a time to come in as our notaries also perform other duties for the library and may not have time when you come in. Please Be Prepared for Your Notary Visit
- Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID with you when you visit.
- Have your documents filled out EXCEPT for the signature.
- Do not sign the document prior to coming, we cannot help you if your document is signed.
- Laws vary by state and some documents may require witnesses in addition to the notarization. In some cases, a notary public might not be legally allowed to also, simultaneously, act as a signature witness. Check with us to inquire as to the availability of signature witnesses, if such is required on your document.
