About LibrarySite™

LibrarySite is the Cherry Hill Company's website solution for public libraries, based on the Drupal free and open-source web content management framework.

This demonstration site focuses on library programming, teens, and kids, because we have found that these are the types of content that most libraries need to deliver to their patrons.

Your library, however, may be different. LibrarySite is completely flexible. You can customize the sections, menus, taxonomy and content with ease.

A visual (WYSIWYG) editor is included to make content editing easier. The editor lets you access the three special styles that will enable you to make important content stand out on your page.

LibrarySite is well documented.

Use the Color and Font Options dropdown menu to see some of the default options available with LibrarySite. You can choose from these options, or create your own variations.

A note about free and open-source software: Drupal is released under the GPLv2 software license. This means in essence that any code in Drupal, or that is built on Drupal may be freely redistributed. This includes all of the code and the design elements that are included with Drupal, as well as the other components that are distributed on the Drupal website, as well as any new functionality that is built upon that software. It does not include design elements or content. So, if we create a theme for your library, the graphical design becomes your property. If we create a module for you, you are free to release it back to the community.
